Since the 1980s, numerical (computer-aided) form-finding has been the standard design method for doubly curved, tensioned surface structures in tensile architecture.

In this process, the designer specifies a set of boundary conditions and parameters, while the actual shape of the surface is not designed directly but determined through an iterative computational process.

The surface thus "found" or calculated is generally not a minimal surface.

We provide architects, planners and clients with comprehensive support and expert advice throughout the design and form-finding process for lightweight surface structures.
